Approval draft

GLU advertiser standards

GLU is E for Everyone. We review every advertiser, offer, creative, destination, and campaign context before booking. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance, inventory, placement, or exclusivity.

Business and offer

The advertiser must be a real, identifiable business authorized to promote the stated product, service, or cause. Claims must be supportable and the offer must comply with applicable laws, platform requirements, intellectual-property rights, and age restrictions.

Viewer and technical safety

Campaigns may not contain or lead to malware, credential theft, deceptive downloads, cloaking, hidden redirects, unauthorized tracking, executable ad code, VPAID, or other behavior that could compromise viewers or GLU systems. Third-party VAST remains subject to technical inspection and creative approval.

Content fit

GLU serves a conservative, family-oriented audience and includes kids programming. Advertisers, offers, landing experiences, and creative must fit that environment. GLU may decline misleading, exploitative, hateful, sexually explicit, unlawfully discriminatory, violent, illegal, or otherwise unsafe material, as well as offers that conflict with its family-, faith-, and values-oriented environments. Regulated categories require additional review and may not be eligible.

Social-issue advocacy

GLU does not accept advertising whose primary message is progressive social-issue advocacy. This is an eligibility rule for the campaign's primary message; it is not a substitute for the general safety and content-fit review.

Political advertising

Political campaigns are not blanket-prohibited. GLU may consider political creative that is E-rated, appropriate for a general audience, family-safe, and focused on the advertiser's own message. Attack ads, mudslinging, opposition hit pieces, and partisan attack campaigns are not eligible. Political campaigns do not run against kids content.

Kids-content advertising and COPPA

Contextual, E-rated advertising may run against kids content when it is family-safe and has no behavioral or interest-based targeting, tracking, retargeting, or collection of personal information from children under 13. Creative, pixels, VAST wrappers, landing pages, and related campaign components must be COPPA-compliant.

Kids-content executions may not use information-gathering forms, QR codes that lead to data collection, pixels or tracking, text-to-join mechanisms, retargeting, or destinations that collect personal information from a child under 13. The political-advertising exception above always applies: political campaigns do not run against kids content.

Final approval

GLU confirms advertiser identity, destination safety, creative, targeting, inventory, measurement, payment, and signed terms before activation. Material changes after approval require a new review. GLU may update these standards as its network and applicable requirements evolve.
